Throughout May, you can support Habitat for Humanity when you shop at jcpenney stores or online. Round up your bill to the nearest dollar to help Habitat build decent, affordable housing.

The fundraising campaign is part of jcpenney's charitable giving program, jcp cares. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and renovates simple, decent houses with the help of homeowner families here in the Halifax area and around the world.

	Halifax Habitat for Humanity is located at: 1030 West International Speedway Blvd 2nd Floor Daytona Beach, Florida 32114 Thanks to our long-time partnership with Fifth Third Bank, we moved into beautifully remodeled offices with street signage at the branch on W. International Speedway Blvd. Halifax Habitat for Humanity has been a locally run Florida affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization since 1986. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses are then sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individuals, faith and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses. As a non-profit volunteer agency we work in partnership with community congregations, cities, schools and universities, area businesses, and caring individuals.
